Realization

In my previous write-up, I had exclaimed ‘Happiness is best realised when one finds things once done, amusing’. Now, the point I’m trying to emphasize in this write-up is, ' What happens with Realization???'. Happiness may not be the only parameter. I’m describing Realization in general. What it can do to one etc etc… I’m just a 20 yr old guy and what I’m going to pen down may not exactly be true and what I write is just my opinion and what I’ve learnt from my own experiences. You may add what according to you is a better definition in the comments column.

Realization, in my opinion is a must for all at one point of time in life. Realization of one’s past incidents include the mistakes one indulged in, the arrogance that accompanied the conversations, things done with no inclination and lots more. If I confine the topic of realization to my own self, the highlighted statement was always part of mine. All these years, I had been a victim of this practice where I involved myself in activities towards which I had no inclination whatsoever. It's always commendable to aim for higher goals but what makes it achievable is the inclination attached with that desire to succeed. That was exactly what I lacked and ended up being in the middle of nowhere. Now, when one looks back at my past, it certainly defies logic when I say I'm focussed about my career. But after realization, the same can be told with confidence and authority. This is precisely what Realization can do to one. You get it ??? Realization can work wonders to people who think twice before acting upon things. Also, the timing of realization is very much important. The preceding statement could be contradicted saying ‘ It’s better late than never’ but I would like to refute ‘ It’s better early than late’. Which is early and when it is late depends on the situation and differs from person to person. Realization, if I can say, is a by-product of Introspection or rather analysis of all thoughts ( good / bad ) culminates into what is called Realization.

The positives of Realization are best acknowledged when enough time is given for oneself to analyse how exactly mistakes were done and how aversive was one to suggestions suggested then. One thing I’ve realised is, ‘When you achieve success, it’s described a multiple effort but when you have failed, you’re the only person to take the blame and there’s none around you to receive the baton of blame’. Mistakes are indeed, part and parcel of everyone’s life but life’s lived better with minimal number of mistakes. Mistakes, here, I don’t mean the blunders but the small things done in haste (with no second thoughts) which leave a lasting impression. To take a page out of my book, I realized lot many things in the recent past, how foolish I had been in giving undue importance to what everybody had got to say with no inclination on my part. Also I’ve realized the importance of patience, tolerance and benevolence - soft-skills make a person's outlook much better than his intelligence or qualification.

Now, realizing all my past incidents doesn’t make me a complete individual. It’s important how well I practise and try my best to not repeat the mistakes. I’m trying to re-invent myself as a responsible and a mature individual. The learning process has just begun but I’m sure it’ll continue forever.

P.S: I didn’t know what to post in my blog this week. Since these thoughts have been flashing across my mind for quite a while, I thought it won’t be a bad idea to just pen them down. Hope I didn’t bore you. Infact, this is the shortest write-up in my blog till date : )

Hey Rajesh,
Firstly, your posts are never boring. They actually are quite engrossing reads. Don't think that way.
:)
Coming to ur post,
Realisation is extremely essential for any dream to be converted to reality.
And its very true:
When you are victorious, the world applauds for you. . . .
But when you've failed, you cry alone.

In all, a very well written post
:)
Keep rocking dude.
I've blogrolled you for the very reason, that your posts are higher up on the spiritual and intellectual plane than mine can ever hope to be.
Thanx for the post. As always.

Your post wasn't boring! But this was the SHORTEST??!!
Coming to what you've written.
There's a saying "success has many fathers but failure is an orphan" (or something like that!) It's sad but the gospel truth.
You'll learn and experience a lot of things in your life. A lot of failure and success (most hopefully the latter) but as you said it's the beginning of the learning process. You can't stop that.

Rajesh said...

Hey... I meant to say that this was the shortest of all write-ups in my blog (the write-up with minimum no of words...got it???)

Yeah true...its jus the beginning of the learning process....thanks 4 dropping by..take care

Hey dude then let me chnage the title of my post:-)
I was talking about the captions "A walk to remember" and "Coming for a walk?" when i said the former was a more impressive Name....No comparison of posts dear.

I believe,each one of us here has a unique way of expression and each one is the most impressive!

Rajesh said...

@Akanksha
No problem...you may use the title ' A Walk to remember'...as u wish... no copyrights stuff :) ..lollzzz

Now about the post...
Well,Realisation, to me is something each one of us go through in life, at some point or the other,,when we sit and think about "what went wrong" or "how the hell did I manage" stuff!

Nice post! While going through the post, I myself had n number of things I've done in past about which i want to sit and think about the decisions i took and the realisations i now have!

Rajesh said...

@Akanksha
Hmmm...yeah...very true...it's very important we analyse our past mistakes and reform into a better individial..

And thanks for re-naming your recent write-up and also for that UPDATE footing the write-up..

well..that was indeed some introspection on realization..

"When you achieve success, it’s described a multiple effort but when you have failed, you’re the only person to take the blame and there’s none around you to receive the baton of blame"...this is something even i have realized at some point in my life too..so true..

realizations 4 me are answers to inner questions,clearance of doubts,lessons from mistakes,understanding of life's truths..

u already know i do those "i realized" posts..so this topic drew me here & i felt soooooo nice reading it..

GOOD WORK!! :)

when in a cool frame of mind, when we have nothing else to do, we think, everybody does. The mind takes us then to seemingly unvisited places of our thoughts and amidst the rushing thoughts, some strike and thus retained. unconsciously we would actually be getting a solution to the puzzle that was bothering us, but not really thinking about at that time.. that is the power of ones mind... and that's what you called realisation... coming to your blog, i liked the fact that you use writing as much a tool for self realization as you do walking and thinking... well that's what i interpreted from the writing style.

Rajesh said...

@Cyclops
Such a profound statement...unsure if ur interpretation s perfect but ur observation of the preocess of realization needs an applause here...gr8 dude...thanks 4 the visit...keep coming..

I like the way you ramble, and draw from incident and consequence of your experience too. It makes the reader connect well, and one is left nodding one's head in agreement.

Your quote in the text itself is very very thought-provoking. LIked that too, immensely.

good to get here, finally..:) Keep up the good work:)

Hey nice post

You know - realization - is not just a heavy word but also very relative, exactly like u expressed.

Unfortunately ppl keep runnin away from it and being confused is their all time excuse for nethn thy do thts not rite... and m speakin from personal experience

Confusion is not bad, everyone is... but acknowledgin tht u need to solve it and then work towards realizing your own self, wt u wan n how u wan it is the only way out

i know its a lil off the discussion here but ur post was so involvin tht i felt like puttin in all the thoughts i had on ma mind :)

Hey Rajesh,

a) When you write you never bore :)

b) My fav line 'soft-skills make a person's outlook much better than his intelligence or qualification' - I so agree.

@Divkiran
Thanks for ur involvement...very motivating to push me to write better posts...will try my best

And ur extra sentences which u claim it to be irrelevanty to the context was a food for thought...

and as u saud, Realization is indeed Relative.

It's nice to c ppl discuss more on this topic and which i feel is very a pre-requisite for success and peace in life...wat do u say???

Rajesh said...

@Still thinking
I'm happy that there're many who are sure that my write-ups never bore u ppl...glad to hear that and also pleasing...

That was a very optimistic post..
Realization is sometimes so important but often we dont want to realize somethings...

Sometimes, we know that we have done wrong, but we dont want to realize it..

So..i guess..ur post will make a lot of people realize at least something they haven't realized so far..

Keep the optimism on the high..and you'll go places..
:)

Rajesh said...

@Shruti
Will that actually make ppl to realize???well i'll only b elated if such a thing happens...thanks anyway 4 reading... take care

Hey, sorry for the late reply, have been keeping busy.

And if your post was short, my comment is gonna be negligible.

Most of the things u ve said thr r universal. making mistakes, realizing them, trying 2 rectify them if time permits, not trying 2 repeat them - come as a complete package with the word, opps :-P

But I don't agree with a couplea things u projected thr and I shall be blunt enough to point them out to you.

*~* realization might be the by-product of introspection, but don't you think when others point out ur mistakes and share theirs, it acts like a good enuff template to learn. Also a second opinion helps u consider various aspects of the issue that we conveniently tent to overlook. Hence the purpose of good companions.

*~* Realization by analysis of everything we come across is good, but wht about instincts? I personally believe that if you go by ur gut-feel, u might not b right, but ull b urself. The way v react to any situation cannot be planned and if u wanna live and not just survive, be impulsive :-D Losing the kid in you in the process of growing is the biggest loss.

Also, when I fail, its anybody's fault but mine. Thats the general tendency, pointing fingers when u fail and patting self's ass when u succeed. I agree with wht u said though.

Maybe my take ws of a different angle and I perceived the post wrong. Help me analyze my mistakes and realize the meaning post in such a case :-D. Also, I wud want u to know that I usually don't criticize people here, but this post does start the thought process and ur work wid it is pretty commendable.

Nice read,
*awaiting ur reply*
Cheers!

Express said...

ok, that was longer than some of my recent posts, haha....

*no offense intended*

Nikkita mathur said...

hmm..so as ordered this comment is being posted SIR....hehe
so until almost three-fourths of the post i kept on thinking..."na yaar!! not me..i enjoy landing up in troubles cuz of my mistakes..cuz what i get then are few cherishable moments"..and then u mentioned..
"Mistakes, here, I don’t mean the blunders but the small things done in haste (with no second thoughts) which leave a lasting impression. "..so point closed..

we hav a saying in hindi:
'chintan karo chinta nahi'
which means instead or feeling guilty and being worried about ur mistakes..take a deep breath and learn from them...
which i totally agree..so also to ur post..
it is as usual beautifully crafted..
way to go..
rock on..

cheerz!!

hey... good work... and you seem to have put in so much thought into it.. wow! i wonder when realization will dawn on me :( sometimes i feel i have no specific goal at all...

and as for the tag, take your time.. no prob!

Anwesa said...

It was a good read..we all must introspect and realize,not only faults but also good deeds..we all need to respect ourselves..and it has to be from within..

Prashant Sree said...

The best part which i found here is the fact that you have Realized something.,. I agree with your point that we realize about what we realize about.

"Realization of one’s past incidents include the mistakes one indulged in, the arrogance that accompanied the conversations, things done with no inclination ". These realizations help us realize our mistakes and help us learn and go forward in life. We have another kind of realization where we realize what is the purpose of our life... And very few people attain this state. When someone ask himself the question of his 'existence' , he sets himself on a path to self-realization which is the highest form of realization one can attain.

You captured the essence well with these lines: "Realization, if I can say, is a by-product of Introspection or rather analysis of all thoughts "

A self-introspection is a must to begin with. I have realized now that Iam writing another blog article in your comment page.,. ;)

A good introspective article Rajesh. Keep Introspecting and Growing !!

@Anwesa

Rajesh said...

@Express
Please don call it negligible...it really made put on my thinking hats.Thanks a lot 4 such nice comments...it was truly very thot-provoking to b frank...u r an ardent reader..

Firstly, jus read the concluding lines in the first paragraph...read it????

Alright...so m open to people's opinion and discussions

Well..to ur first point, realization as a by-product of introspection.....m someone more convinced by own thots than others...not tat m arrogant here...i've jus been that way...on most occasions, m not convinced by wat others say...and despite their advice/suggestion i stay incorrigible...get hust and then rectify my mistakes...so here realization s a by-product or all thots culminate into REALIZATION.. got it??? convinced???

Instinctive...yeah...that makes u succeed on most occasions...in fact i go by my instict...now wen u REALIZE, u go by instinct then...wen u realize, u think abt ur past...sit n rectify...now....ur instinct says u have been wrong and hence u accept ur mistakes n make sure u don repeat it...alright.???

Yeah...and we agreed on one point atleast...lolllzzz.... that SUCCESS COMES BY MULTIPLE EFFORT........

anyways, thanks a lot 4 ur comments and i wud lik to add here that..the reply i've posted is also purely wat i opine and how i look...m open to further discussions.....i love discussions on such issues esp with ppl lik u who wud lik to do some more research n interact...nice.. .pleasure having u here...keep coming..

hmm... honestly i think realization of mistakes n all is rather depressing and all...every time i have somen like this... i feel sad and low for weeks before i can spring back... but i guess it can work as a positive effect also... and in ur case its the latter...so good... i gess... just one thing... don't think that giving people importance was a mistake... we ppl often tend to feel so... but at one point in life...we did give them tht importance and that changed us in some way that makes us who we are today.... wierd logic i have... but we should give credit of wat we r today to those ppl who had a positive effect on our life as well as those who affected us negatively...

Rajesh said...

@Jahnabi
Yeah./..thats true...but m jus trying to say tat m more convinced by my own thots and INSTINCT...nothing offensive...thanks 4 ur comments anyways

again, late 4 reply. I just don't get time 2 keep track of all blogs at once!

well, If i thought that u r arrogant and don't care wht others tell u, why d u think I posted that comment?

I mentioned the people's angle coz for me, I commit mistakes b'coz I am ignorant. And then so many things come in and out of my head that I ignore and its left thr. Thus many-a-times, realization is evoked by friends. But let every1 suit themselves. It was wrong of me 2 make a thoughtless generalization there. *apologies*

Too many words I ve written here! I surprise myself!
